FUNERAL SERVICES
TRADITIONAL SERVICES
A traditional service, as selected by most families in our area,
consists of a family or public viewing of the deceased. Following
this, typically will be a service held at the funeral home or
church. This would be followed by earth burial or entombment in an
above ground mausoleum.
Caskets selected may cost from hundreds dollars to several
thousands of dollars depending on the material the casket is
constructed of. Most cemeteries require an outer burial container
or vault. These containers are constructed of concrete and are
designed to hold the weight of the earth, maintaining the cemetery
property. Most families choose a sealed vault for this purpose.
These vaults are constructed of concrete and are designed to not
only protect the gravesite, but are manufactured with inner liners
that not only restrict the entrance of graveside elements (water
and earth) but increase the strength of the vault. Minimum
concrete containers are also available to meet the minimum
requirements of the cemetery but provide no protective (sealing)
properties.
GRAVESIDE SERVICES
A graveside service can be another option. This many times would
follow a time of visitation at the funeral home. The casketed
remains would then be transferred to the cemetery where a
graveside ceremony could take place followed by the burial. A
graveside service may also be held at a mausoleum.
MEMORIAL SERVICES
A Memorial Service is
held when the deceased is not present. It may take place at our
funeral home, a church or another place chosen by the family. This
is a time to remember a loved one through fellowship with friends
and family. The memorial service can also be an addition to a
traditional funeral service. For instance, having a traditional
funeral service here, and then a memorial service back in the
deceased hometown. |

CREMATION SERVICES
Today more families are looking at cremation options. We are proud
to provide the finest cremation facility in the area.. We can help
you no matter what type of cremation service you desire.
TRADITIONAL FUNERAL - FOLLOWED BY CREMATION
A complete traditional funeral can be held followed by cremation.
This service will be just like a traditional funeral service
except cremation will follow the service and/or visitation instead
of the casketed burial. This can be accommodated by the use of a
cremation casket (casket that is designed to be cremated) or a
rental casket may be used. Following the visitation, service or
ceremony, and eventual cremation, the cremated remains can be
buried, inurned in a mausoleum, properly scattered, or returned to
the family for safe keeping. A wide variety urns are available.
Urns may be constructed of wood, semi-precious metals, glass or
even plastic. We even have urns that are designed for scattering
as well as jewelry and keepsakes designed to hold cremains. All
urns may be personalized as desired. Feel free to stop in and look
at all the urns and options available to you.
IMMEDIATE CREMATION
An immediate cremation service can be arranged as an immediate
disposition of the body, but is most times followed by a memorial
service at the funeral home, church or other location. A memorial
service is one where the body is not present. We recommend that if
you select an immediate cremation that you are allowed a time, if
possible, to privately view the body as a family. Viewing of the
deceased is a very important step in acknowledging that the death
has occurred. Having some type of service or ceremony is also a
key ingredient to a healthy recovery of a loss due to a death.
At Weddle Funeral Service, we encourage families to create very
personalized services. It is important to acknowledge that life
that has been lived and to offer to the community a way in which
to celebrate that life. By offering services that are very
personal and special, a unique life can be remembered and honored
in a way that is comforting to the family and friends. Call on
Weddle Funeral Service to help your family. |
