Alice Lois Wilson Profile Photo

Alice L. Wilson was born on October 3, 1929 in Leach, Oklahoma to Jesse Dean Simpson and Cora Elizabeth Martin. Alice was one of 10 children: Pearl, Ella Dean, Aileen, Tommy, Shirley, Jane, Jerry, Judy, Donnie, so there was always someone to spend time with. Alice graduated from Silverton High School in 1947 and went on to attend Oklahoma A & M for two years. While in college, two friends set Alice up on a blind date with Jimmie Wilson, which would turn out to be the last blind date for either of them.   On August 11, 1950 in Silverton, Oregon, Alice and Jim were married. Together they had 3 daughters: Candy Leelaamornvichet, Cindy Jo Norenberg, and Jenny Lou Polk. While raising her children, Alice sold Avon for many years, but her family was her real passion. Besides spending time with her family, Alice enjoyed reading, sewing, and quilting. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Red Hat Club and the Garden Club, as well as being an active member of her church.  Alice had 7 grandchildren: Kitty, Meghan, Libby, Vivian, Kimmy, Paul, and Travis and 12 great-grandchildren: Ashton, Daunte, Arianah, Emma, Dakota, Jaydon, Luca, Autumn, Mia, Cora, Soraya, and Naomi.   On May 3, 2021, Alice L. Wilson passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents: Jesse and Cora, 5 siblings: Ella Dean, Tommy, Shirley, Jane, and Jerry, and her husband Jim. Alice was a loving woman who was determined and unstoppable. She will be missed by those who had the honor of knowing her.
