Ann Ciravola Hayes

Dec. 20, 1920 Sept. 13, 2010
Stayton, Oregon

Ann Ciravola Hayes entered the presence of her Savior on September 13th.  Ann was 89 years old, having resided in Stayton Oregon since 2000 and passed away peacefully in her home.  Ann was born on December 20, 1920 in Trapani Italy and became a US citizen on January 18, 1949.  Ann was married to Bobby Hayes in 1949.  Later in her life after her first husband’s passing she married Guy Vinson in 1986 whom she also outlived.  Ann is survived by her five children, Terry (Dan) Humphreys, Gary (Cathy) Hayes, Kenneth (Silvia) Hayes, James (Melody) Hayes and Michael Hayes.  She leaves ten grand children and ten great grand children; and 2 great -great grandchildren.

Ann served honorably in the United States Army as postal clerk and worked as a waitress for many years.  She was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, Post 3594 in Reedsport Oregon, Eastern Star in Stayton, Oregon and the Red Hatters Association.  Ann was an avid reader, crossword solver and traveled extensively.

Ann was a beloved wife, mother and friend.  Her joyful spirit and undefeatable optimism was a great encouragement to all who met her.  Her childhood years were difficult yet through all her trials she formed a beautiful attitude of perseverance and determination.   When her health problems increased so did her strength and courage.  She remained independent almost to the end and showed great determination.  Ann was blessed with a strong heart and clear mind throughout her life.

Ann (Mom) will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Memorial Service with military honors will be held Sat. Oct. 2nd 11:00 am at Weddle Funeral Chapel, Stayton, OR
