LYONS - Bernice Brown (Gramma Bea) was born on May 24th, 1940 to Ralph and Martha Baurer in Portland, OR. Shortly after graduating from HS--Mt Angel Women’s Academy in 1958, she worked as a hairdresser for 40+ years, also owning her own salon Nu-Wave Hair Design in Silverton, OR. After retiring, she applied her artistic skills to painting, quilting, crafts and enjoyed working on her 60 acre farm in Lyons, OR to which she purchased in 1989 and built her home in 2006. Additionally, Bernice was an active member of St. Boniface Parish and would help with their chicken dinner by providing desserts. She was a wonderful baker and would put together wonderful holiday parties for her family and was the family matriarch. She had five children with her first husband, Marvin Moll. She married Alva Brown, May 21st, 1985 and spent the remainder of her life with him until his passing February 10, 2018. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Alva Brown and her son Jeffery Moll. She is survived by her sister Janice Miller; children, Gregory Moll, Cheryl Ebner (Jim Ebner), (Stacey Moll), Kevin Moll, Jonathan Moll (Stephanie Moll) and stepchildren Kevin Brown (Lisa-Anne Brown), Korrine Slyh and Julie Farrell (Curt Farrell). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Service.
