Charles Chuck William KaDell Jr. April 24, 1933 May 1, 2016 Stayton, Oregon Charles (Chuck) KaDell Jr. passed away due to congestive heart failure on May 1, 2016. He was 83 years old. He was at home with his two daughters Susan and Donna and two grandchildren by his side.  Chuck was born in Jamestown North Dakota on April 24, 1933. He was the youngest of two boys. He was a US Korean War Veteran and received honorable discharge in 1953. Shortly after being discharged, he met Marsha Drager and they married on October 19, 1957. They were married for 54 years. In 1993, Chuck and Marsha sold their home in Fullerton, California and hit the road to travel around the United States. In 1993, after being on the road for nearly a year, they chose Oregon as their new home, and looked forward to enjoying the beauty of Oregon and the promise of an exciting new chapter in their lives. Chuck was a lifelong automotive enthusiast. A naturally gifted artist and craftsman, and recognized as a master precision engineer for his contributions to the design of the Standard Missile, Phalanx Gatling and Stinger Missile. He had a deep passion for gardening and all of natures beauty and made sure every bird in the neighborhood could get a good meal from the feeders (that he built) from his yard.  He was extremely concerned about the state of the world and longed for the simplicity of life from when he was young. He wasn’t a fan of computers or modern day communication, but he’d seek answers from the internet daily…and often! He had a huge influence on his family and those who were close to him. He will be greatly missed. Chuck is survived by his two daughters: Susan and her husband Brad Lowe of Dixon, California; Donna KaDell of Irvine, California; his three grandchildren and great grand daughter and the rest of his family and friends. Chuck is preceded in death by his wife Marsha, as-well-as his brother Duane and his parents Charles and Emma. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services.
