Charles William Spencer was born on December 9, 1946, in Fort Worth, Texas to Charlie and Cleta (Riffle) Spencer. He would grow up with his 4 other siblings. Upon graduation from high school, he would enlist in the United States Navy and serve from 1964-1968 during Vietnam. He would meet the love of his life Winona “Wendi” Woodward at the McMinnville A&W. Charles would order her a medium root beer and tip her a dollar which was more than the drink. He would ask her out and the rest was history. They would commit to each other and God on October 12, 1968.
Charles then began his Career as an electrician With the love of Jesus in both of their hearts, they would attend Church of God of Prophecy close to 50 years. Charles would pastor in Grand Ronde, Oregon and in Idaho. He enjoyed teaching the word of God and in the last several years, taught an adult Sunday school class. Charles enjoyed fishing, camping, walking his dog and most of all spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and other family members. Spending time with the ones he loved was what meant most to him. On March 24, 2022, Charles would pass away at age 75 in Turner, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Cleta Spencer; siblings, Charlene Sutton, Cliffton Spencer, Barbara Reed. He is survived by his wife Wendi Spencer; sister, Mary Sanders; son, Ronald (Bobbie) Spencer; daughter, Teressa (Wendell) Olson; grandchildren, Spencer, Jacob, Dominique, Ryan and Corey; great grandchildren, Maddox Ayala and Ryland Jordan
