Obituary for Darrell Edward Huber

Lyons- Darrell Edward Huber was born on June 7, 1951 in Salem, Oregon to Donald and Lucille (Mulkey) Huber.  He was raised in Lyons and attended Mari-Linn Elementary School and then was a graduate from Stayton High School with the class of 1969. After high school he would further his education by attending Chemeketa Community College and continued his education at Oregon State University where he would graduate with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. In his spare time as a child he participated in the Boy Scout and was involved in 4-H, where he raised rabbits.  Darrell would enjoy working on his Chevy Novas and maybe an occasional race at the gut and shooting pool with his buddies at the Oregon State Museum Tavern. He was involved in the Oregon Museum Tavern mass shooting in May of 1981 and survived sustaining 3 gunshot wounds.

Later as an adult he enjoyed working on his cars, fishing for trout at Marion Lake and Detroit Lake. But mainly enjoyed being a homebody.
