Corvallis- David Eugene Russell passed away peacefully July 23, 2021, at Evergreen Hospice House surrounded by his family after a seven-year battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born in Enid, Oklahoma, to Caspel and Kathryn Ferguson Russell on March 16, 1941. He grew up in Baldwin, Kansas, and then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Corvallis, Oregon, where he worked for Hewlett Packard for 33 years. Dave was a kind and gentle soul. He was a dedicated volunteer for Linn Benton Food Share and the first to volunteer when anyone needed help. He enjoyed the outdoors with many hunting and fishing trips. He was a member of the Corvallis Elks Club, the Corvallis Elks Target Shooters, High Steppin Country Dance Club, and Rock Steady Boxing. He is survived by his sons who were his pride and joy all of his life, David and Patrick (Patti). He is also survived by his long time companion, Sue Ferdig, grandchildren, Jayla, Kylie, Logan, and Nolan Russell and Madelyn Dunagen (Mark). Other survivors include, brothers, Jim (Linda) and Vernon (Ila) Russell and sister Joan Toot (Fred). A celebration of life will be held on August 14, at 1:00 p.m. at Corvallis Evangelical Church, 1525 NW Kings Blvd. Corvallis, OR. dress cool and casual (no AC).
