Obituary for Deane Robertson

Deane was born in Nashville, Tennessee on June 14, 1925 where she grew up. At age 14 she moved to St. Louis and attended high school. Upon graduation she would help with the war effort. She would go back to Tennessee to visit her mother, on this trip she would meet the love of her life, Wallace Robertson. They were married on June 7, 1944. Deane would later move to Mill City Oregon where she resided for the last 68 years.

She would earn an associates degree in bookkeeping and counseling. Although deemed a “city girl” Deane learned to hunt, fish, shoot a gun, drive a log truck and operate a CAT. She was adventurous and always on the go.

She was equally generous and giving, bookkeeping for Canyon Crisis Center and also offering counseling services for the last 34 years.

Deane loved cooking, gardening, camping, but most of all lived and loved for her family. Deane was also a faithful woman, and her faith meant everything to her.

On December 30, 2020 Deane passed away at her home in Mill City, after living a beautiful 95 years. In the days prior to her passing she was able to visit with all of those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace, parents and siblings. She is survived by her children, Lawrence “Larry” Robertson, Sharon “Cherie” Girod; grandchildren, Tina Marie Piercy, Jill Girod Theroux, Jeff Girod; 5 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
