Diana Marie (Sandoval) Wickham was born on December 7, 1945 to Prospero and Ruth (Tellez) Sandoval in Albuquerque New Mexico.  Eventually, she would live in Custer, South Dakota where she would marry her husband, Douglas Allen Wickham.  Douglas was a member of the Sioux Indian Tribe and Diana loved the native lifestyle and would raise her three children to embrace their native heritage. Diana throughout her life loved to attend Pow Wow’s and encourage her grandchildren to embrace their heritage as well. Eventually, she and Douglas would go their separate ways, but would remain friends. Diana showed no fear while raising three children alone. She would move many times across the country with her children and even drove the dangerous Alaskan Alcan Highway twice. Diana would later move to Rapid City, South Dakota and then to Oregon where she would live in Cottage Grove and Salem. Eventually, she would move to Delta Junction, Alaska where she would own and operate with her business partner, Mike Jenkins the “The Pit” and “Executive Catering”. Diana was a loved resident of Delta Junction as many people in town knew her food and she catered many large events. Everyone who knew her would say she was one of the best people to work beside and have as an employer. Besides her restaurant and catering business, she also drove bus in Delta Junction as well. She would live in Delta Jet for 20 years until she decided to sell the business and retire in Oregon to be closer to family and live on the beautiful Oregon coast. For the last 8 years, Diana got to enjoy walks on the Oregon Coast, playing bingo and volunteering. She had a wonderful heart and devoted countless hours over the years to Meals on Wheels and charities that made sure children always had school lunches. Dianna was a wonderful mother and devoted grandmother. She had many, many friends who she loved dearly and she was loved by everyone. Diana passed away peacefully on April 5, 2021 in Lincoln City, Oregon at age 75. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Wickham and sister, Mary Guest. She is survived by her children, Anthony Wickham, Sheldon Wickham and Tina Wickham; grandchildren, Rebecca Tjaarda, Kristine Warnock, Kendra Baker, William Tjaarda, Jr., Heather Wickham, Alex Wickham, Mathea Moschell, Miles Wickham, Alanna Huttlo, Alexis Wickham; 8 great grandchildren and her dear friend and business partner, Mike Jenkins.
