Edward Ed Earl Elmer Profile Photo

Edward Earl Elmer was born on December 17, 1952 in Lakeview, Oregon. He was adopted by Clyde and Grace (King) Elmer when he was two years old. He attended high school in Laguna Beach, California. After high school he became a journeyman and did sheet rock repair, painting and construction work. He eventually moved to Oregon and lived in Beavercreek, Molalla, Colton and moved to Mill City in 2002. Ed was an excellent cook and found himself working at the Mountain Edge. He remembered what his regular customers liked to order and would often have the food in the window before the waitress would even have an order in the window. He met his wife Roxie Ann Adams while at work, when she was playing pool with her girlfriends. They married on July 17, 2004 in Gates, Oregon. Ed was a member of the Eagles and at one time held the position of Sergeant at arms. He also was a member of the Moose Lodge and would volunteer with both associations to cook at their dinners. Besides being a member of his fraternal organizations, Ed enjoyed the outdoors whether it was fishing, hiking, camping, hunting deer or spending time in the mountains. Ed passed away on March 9, 2018 at his home in Mill City after a long term illness. He is survived by his loving and caring wife, Roxie Ann Elmer; a brother, Raymond “Twister” Heller of Congress, AZ and a sister, Tonina Lamore of Provo, Utah. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Staff of Weddle Funeral Service.
