Frances Lorain Shinkle

Frances Lorain Shinkle  February 29, 1928 October 4, 2015 Stayton, Oregon Frances, 87, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday morning, Oct. 4. She was born in Toledo, the fourth child to Frank and Amanda Shinkle. Frances lived most of her life in the two-story house built by her father during the Great Depression. Frances was proceeded in death by her parents and sisters Elinor Short, Margaret Horner, Barbara Hitchcock and Nancy Hodges. She is survived by her brother, Jim Shinkle of Belton, Texas, and many neices and nephews. Frances enjoyed volunteering and spending time with her golden age friends, friends of the library, Stayton Museum and her Bible study group. A celebration of life was held on Oct. 17 at Cascade View Free Methodist Church. A special thank you to Brookdale Senior Center. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services.
