Jacqueline Jackie Kerr

Jacqueline Lee Kerr “Jackie” was born to her parents Joseph and Florence Hobson in Forest City Iowa, January 12, 1936. She later moved to Oregon where she met and married Paul Edward Kerr. Jackie was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Salem, Oregon and was active in the church choir, assisted with the church newsletter, and was previously a deacon within her church community. She also spent her career working at the Department of Justice. Jackie loved her family, her cats Annie and Josie, music, including playing the piano, singing, and listening to Frank Sinatra and other artists. Jackie also enjoyed tap dancing, crosswords, speaking French and Russian, and needle point; She was a member of a local chapter of the Willamette Needle Club and one year she won first place at the Oregon State Fair for her skills in needle point. She was also a previous member of Kiwanis club. Jackie’s bling-bling style and enthusiastic personality was influenced largely on part by her Mother Flo and Aunt Reno. Jackie was a wonderful person, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Paul Kerr, her aunt Reno, and her beloved brother Steve Hobson. Jackie is survived by her son Mark Kerr, daughter’s Julie Mavis and Carolyn Egan; six grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Jackie went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2018. She will be greatly missed on earth, but heaven received an angel. A visitation will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 with a service to follow at 11:00 am in Belcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum. Weddle Funeral Service entrusted with arrangements.
