Jean Marie Parker Profile Photo

Jean Marie Parker was born on January 13, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska to Edward and Ida Marie (Larsen) Krajeski. At the age of 7 Jean contracted polio.  This illness had an effect on her body, but only those close to her would know that as she never let it stop her from doing what she wanted to do.  She was a woman with strong will power and a fierce love of friends and family. As a child she grew up on the Krajeski farm in Nebraska until her family moved to Lincoln City Oregon where she would attend grade school and graduate from Taft High School with the class of 1958. After high school she would work for a logging company as a bookkeeper before going to work for the state.  She married Ernest Golly and the two would soon welcome their daughter Vanessa.  Jean and Ernie ultimately divorced and in 1968 she would then move to the Salem area where she would spend most of her adult life.  The occupation she was most known for was her job with Salem Hospital working as a medical transcriptionist which she would hold over 20 years until retiring in 1997.  Family was very important to Jean and she loved them very much.  She looked forward to the family get-togethers to see how everyone was doing and watch her legacy grow.  In her spare time she enjoyed crossword puzzles, games and watching tv. On July 13, 2019 Jean passed away in Salem, Oregon.  She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Ida; her siblings, Jerry Krajeski, Robert Krajeski, Richard Krajeski; Pauline Flores and her nephews Terry Justesen and Michael Krajeski. She is survived by her Daughter, Vanessa Jean Coggins (John); and grandchildren Paul Michael Koos (Erika), Kindra Rae Coggins and Edward John Coggins as well as her great grandchild, Caiden Coggins.  She always held a special place in her heart for her nieces, Diane Brown, Donna Herndon, Michelle Rickles and Tamara Krajeski as well as their children and grandchildren. She was much loved by her family and will be missed greatly.
