John David Reed

John David Reed (JD) was born on March 25, 1940 under the Poteau Bridge near Ft. Smith Arkansas to Paul and Addie Reed. The family moved to California and later to Scio, Oregon. In 1973 JD went to Casper Wyoming to work in the oil fields. In 1983 he moved back to Scio, Oregon and opened up Reed's Painting. Just a few years ago, JD retired from his painting business. In his free time JD enjoyed playing pool and was an excellent shot, playing Ultimate Texas Hold Em, and Pai Gow, traveling to Lincoln City with his family and playing the slot machines at his favorite spot, The Silver Dollar. JD was predeceased by his wife, Joycea and son in law, Skip Crouse. He is survived by his children, Debra Reed Crouse, Wayne (Susie) Reed and Jay (Bridgette) Reed; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. At his request no services will be held.
