Linda Louise (Lavender) Propst December 1, 1930 June 29, 2015 Salem, Oregon Linda Louise (Lavender) Propst passed away on June 29th at her home at Farmington Square in Salem, Oregon. Linda was born in Davenport, Iowa on December 1, 1930 to Frank and Frieda Lavender. She grew up in Venice, California enjoying the beach from a young age. When her parents divorced, her mother and older brother Warren joined Linda in blending with a new family when Freida married John George. Linda met her husband Jack Propst at 14, they were married when she was 15. Linda was blessed to be married to Jack until his death in 2006. Linda and Jack had five children together. Alan Propst of Everett, WA, Jack Propst Jr (deceased at birth), Pegi Cruz of Stayton, OR, Patrick Propst of Hillsboro, OR and Mike Propst of Simi Valley, CA. Linda lived in Venice, CA when she married, moving to Peoria, Il for a short time. She moved back to California living in Van Nuys, Mission Hills and Sylmar. Linda didnt learn to drive a car until she was 40. As an adult she worked at McDonalds, Sylmar High School and SavOn Drug Stores. Her children and their friends have fond memories of how energetic and fun Linda was to be around. Linda, like her mother Frieda was an oil paint artist. She painted for many years producing paintings of many ocean sceans and still lives. Upon retirement, Linda and Jack moved to Dayton OR and Aumsville. After Jack passed away, Linda moved to McMinnville, OR. Lindas heath required her to move from her home to live with her children until she moved in at Farmington Square in Salem, OR where she lived for two years until her passing. Linda wanted to be cremated and her ashes spread in the Pacific Ocean, like her husband Jack has been. Her desires will be met. Services are pending to celebrate her life.
