Louise Katherine Royston was born January 19, 1931 in Halltown, Missouri to Frank Eli Royston and Elaphia Jane Lawmaster. Louise passed away November 24, 2023 in Keizer, Oregon at the age of 92. Louise grew up in a very large family and moved to Oregon when she was 11 years old. Louise married William (Bill) H. Davis August 27, 1948. They were married 59 years and together raised 8 children. Louise is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, daughter Nancy Koffler and all of her siblings except brother Frank Royston of Lincoln City. Louise is also survived by sons Billy (Becky), Bruce (Marcia), Mike, Keith (Claudia) and Clinton (Deanna) and daughters Brenda Chapman (Patrick) and Doris Berning (Ron). Louise is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and in March became a great, great grandma celebrating 5 generations. Louise worked hard all her life. Growing up she worked along side her twin sister, Lucille Aspinwall harvesting many different crops including peaches. During harvest time Louise canned fruits and vegetables for the family to enjoy all year long. Louise enjoyed many interests but baking was her passion. Louise was renown in the Brooks/Gervais community for her baking and was even featured in the Statesman Journal. Louise could make the best cinnamon rolls, pies, sugar cookies and her chocolate covered cherries were much sought after by friends and family. For over 30 years Louise provided cinnamon rolls to Western Farm Service for staff and local farmers to enjoy. Louise loved children (especially babies) and along with her own 8 children cared for many others in her home. Louise enjoyed TV, Soap Operas, The Golden Girls, Mayberry and Walker Texas Ranger were favorites. She loved all living animals, plush animals and especially Tweety Bird. She enjoyed growing flowers in her greenhouse and outings with her sister and brothers. Louise loved the holidays and family gatherings. It was not uncommon for there to be 40-50 gathered at the family home and Louise made sure there was enough food, especially desserts for everyone to take home leftovers. Louise was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and enjoyed attending their annual fund raiser luncheon each year. In May 2021, after 56 years in the family home, Louise moved to assisted living at The Village at Keizer Ridge and to Memory Care in August 2023. Staff quickly dubbed Louise the 'Energizer Bunny' for her miraculous rebounds from numerous medical incidents. The family would like to thank the staff of The Village at Keizer Ridge and Louise's AMAZING Brighton Hospice Team for the exceptional love and care she received these past years. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 5 at Weddle Funeral Home, Stayton. Interment will follow at Howell Prairie Cemetery. There will also be a lunch at 1:30 p.m. in Louise's honor at Scenic Valley Farm 12423 River Rd. N.E. Gervais. Donations may be made to SafeHaven Humane Society 33071 Highway 34 Albany, OR 97322
