Margaret "Meg" Voltin Foster, 72, passed away Sunday, May 20 at home in Lacey, WA surrounded by her family. Meg was born on July 17, 1945 to Mary and Benedict Voltin of Lyons, OR and raised with her brothers John, Bernard and Paul. She attended primary and secondary schools in the Lyons area and went on to complete her nursing degree in 1966 at the Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Eugene, OR. She married Michael Foster in 1969 and they celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary last year. They traveled for Michael's job in the Air Force, living in Massachusetts, Nebraska, California and Italy before eventually settling in the Lakewood, WA area. Meg worked as an RN in inpatient nursing at various hospitals in the area, including Tacoma General for more than 20 years before her retirement. Meg enjoyed a nice glass of wine, laughing, traveling, reading, gardening, cooking, knitting, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Michael Foster of Lacey, WA; children David Foster of San Antonio, TX, Christine Keller of Newburyport, MA and Laurie Rossback of Durango, CO; her grandchildren Ian Keller, Kate Keller, Eilam Rossback and Waylon Rossback; and her brothers John and Bernard Voltin. Burial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30th at the cemetery of Our Lady of Lourdes church in Jordan, Oregon, 39043 Jordan Road, Jordan, OR 97374.
