A few years after high school while at a youth rally, Mary would meet David Henry Turner.  He had spotted her and went on to tell his friends “that is the girl I’m going to marry”!  The Lord brought them together, and they would be married six months later in 1959.  This would start almost 60 wonderful years of marriage and the addition of 3 children, Wesley, Anne and Ruth. After David finished seminary, the family would move to St. Helens and then later to Silverton and finally settled in Salem, Oregon.  Although, for most of her life she was a home maker, her strong faith kept her busy.  Every morning she had the routine of quietly reading her bible before starting her day.  Her faith also kept her busy at church.  In Salem she served as a librarian and took on the huge undertaking of organizing the books at Grace Baptist Church.  In her spare time Mary enjoyed sewing and embroidery.  She many suits for David and clothing for her family that not only looked nice but were stylish.  She was also a great cook and loved to bake Christmas cookies.  She loved to travel and go to the parks.  Her and David would often hitch up the camping trailer to go have a relaxing escape in nature.  On March 23, 2020 Mary passed away in Salem, Oregon.  She was preceded in death by her husband, David Henry Turner, and parents, Robert and Ruth.  She is survived by her children, Wesley (Kim) Turner, Anne (Greg) Trammell, and Ruth (Nestor) Pavon; Grandchildren Kody, Grady, David, Joel, Caleb, Daniel, Zachariah, Elijah, Katrina Michaela, and Levi; great-grandchild, Liam; and siblings, Margaret, Cecelia, David and Cynthia.
