Mathew H. Bronec

AUMSVILLE - Born on January 27, 1926 in Square Butte, MT to Mike and Mary (Ployhar) Bronec. After high school Matt honorably served in the United States Marine Corps. Throughout his life Matt farmed, grew Christmas trees, supervised a shift at the plywood mill, was co-owner of Cedar Valley Homes and owned Draperies, Inc. He met Vivian M. Hoiseth, they married on September 9, 1983. They served a mission in the Philippines from 1990 to 1992. For the last 14 years they have resided in Aumsville. Matt enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, reading and entertaining his grandchildren. Matt passed away on July 20, 2018 in Lebanon. A service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 10:30 am in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Stayton. Matt was preceded in death by his parents, 7 siblings, 2 children, Kathleen Mortenson and Kenneth Bronec and 2 grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Vivian; children, Mary Louise (Rod) Stanton, Theresa (Randy) Knight, Margaret (Mark) Staggs, Michelle (Tony) Snook, and stepchildren Julie Graves Bronec and Robert Graves; sister Lillian White; 26 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
