ROSELLA  CORD KREITZER SCHUETZ
July 29, 1924 – November 1, 2011
Sublimity, Oregon

Rosella Cord Kreitzer Schuetz passed away the morning of November 1st.  She was born to Lawrence and Lucille Cord on July 29, 1924 in Timber Lake, South Dakota.
Rosella moved to Stayton, Oregon at the age of 13.  She enjoyed many activities including dancing, golfing and, most of all, traveling.
She loved history and was excited to have visited all 50 States, along with Europe, Mexico and Canada.  For 22 years, she and her husband Karl owned and operated Kreitzer’s Menswear.  She loved being a snowbird in Arizona with her husband Richard.  Rosella prided herself with hosting family gatherings and loved having all her children and their extended families all together.  She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and welcoming hugs.
Rosella was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Lucille Cord, husband of 46 years J. Karl Kreitzer, husband of 17 years Richard Schuetz; son, Richard Kreitzer and  sons-in-law, Dale Magee and Roy Basl.  She is survived by  daughters, Janice Magee  Basl ,Karlene (Todd) Jensen; sons, Dennis (Joann) Kreitzer, Donald (Julie) Kreitzer , Larry Schuetz; daughters – in-law,  Meera Kreitzer, Valerie Schuetz Luehrs; sisters, Marion (Russ) Bridenbeck  of Gresham, OR, Kathleen (Don) Hansen of Seattle, WA; brothers, Lavern (Lavonne) Cord of Folsom, CA, James (Carol) Cord of Troutdale, OR; many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to the Woodside Care Home in Stayton for their kind and special care of Rosella.
Recitation of the rosary will be held at 10:30 am followed by 11:00 am Memorial Mass on Saturday, November 12th at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity.  Contributions may be made in her memory to Friends of the Stayton Library of Friends of the Stayton Memorial  Pool.
