Obituary for Rob Wilkerson

Rob was born on August 29, 1991 in Portland, Oregon to James “Jim” Wilkerson and Diane Wilkerson. Rob grew up in Portland and from an early age fell in love with playing and collecting Pokémon cards. Over the years he collected thousands and learned all about Pokémon. He would teach everyone in his family how to play and most recently was teaching his grandma Donna.

Rob also liked Snoopy and Charlie Brown. As a child, Rob would follow his mom everywhere and as he got older was a wonderful son. Rob would check on his mom to make sure she was taking care of herself and eating. He was such a wonderful son who would always help with chores around the house. Family was everything to him and he was always thinking of others. One Christmas he got his sister Nicole a Christmas gift that he knew she would love, a blanket of Winnie the Poo.

The last two years Rob was living in Corvallis, Oregon where he enjoyed going around and playing Pokémon Go. One year Rob got to hold a tiger cub at the fair and get a picture of it, that was always his most favorite picture ever taken. Additionally, one of his most favorite movies of all time was Free Willy.

Rob was also a huge animal lover and last year he lost his service dog, Whiskey who was 16 years old. His other dog “Robert James” or Bobby for short was his current furry kid who he loved dearly.

For all of his life Rob suffered from several health issues that resulted in his passing on March 4, 2021 in Corvallis, Oregon.

Rob will be remembered for his sweet personality, although he left this world too early, his love will always leave a lasting legacy with his family.

Rob is survived by his parents, Diane Wilkerson and Jim Wilkerson; siblings, Nicole, Crystal (Matthew) and his grandmother, Donna Winchester.
