Obituary for Robert Clayton Imber Jr.

Robert Clayton Imber Jr. was born on January 5, 1951 in Franklin, Indiana to Robert and Eleanor (Steel) Imber. The family moved to Salem, Oregon in 1957. Later in life Robert graduated from North Salem High in 1969.

On July 5, 1979, Robert married Nancy Eyler in Salem Oregon. They were married for 40 years and have two sons Darron and Brian. They lived in Salem, Oregon for 16 yrs and moved to Gates, Oregon in 1995.

During his life, Robert worked as an auto mechanic and then in April 1993 started his own painting business called Valley View Painting. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking making baskets, ornaments and other wood crafts.

In September of 2018, Robert accepted Jesus Christ and was baptist in the Santiam River at Fishermen Bend.

Robert had a long history of COPD and in October 2014, he had throat cancer. On December 5, 2019, Robert passed away in Gates, Oregon he was 68 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Eleanor, his sisters Donna Gibbs and Dorthea Coburn. He is survived by his wife Nancy; sons Darron Imber and Brian Imber; daughter-in-laws Janell Imber and Nicole Imber; Grandchildren: Mathew Imber, Ciara Imber, Abigail Imber, Sebashen Imber, Christopher Ellingson, Riley Imber, Everett Imber and Nolan Imber. Siblings: Betty York, Kathy Imber and Donald Imber.
