Ronda Lea Pierce

September 3, 1960 — January 24, 2020

Ronda passed suddenly on Friday January 24th, 2020 at Salem Hospital, after an extended illness. She was surrounded by her Husband of 40 years and her children. Ronda was born at Salem Hospital on September 3, 1960 to Ernest (Tex) Emmerson and Clydia(Punkin) (Storey) Emmerson. Ronda spent her early childhood living in the Santiam Canyon. Eventually the family moved to Sheridan, where, Ronda grew up and attended school, graduating from Sheridan HS in 1979. During this time, Ronda met the love of her life, Timothy Pierce, in August of 1977. Tim and Ronda married on April 19, 1980. Shortly after, their first child, Elizabeth was born. Not long, after all these new changes, the family decided to move to Andrews Texas. While living in Andrews, their little family expanded in 1981, with the birth of Melissa and again in 1984,with the birth of Jacob. Not long after their family was complete, the family decided to move back to Oregon. Once back in Oregon, Ronda and Tim, settled into the Santiam Canyon to raise their family.While, Ronda was primarily a homemaker, she did hold a few jobs outside the home. She worked at Santiam Video from 1995-2000. And, worked at Avamere Court at Keizer in2009-2010. Ronda enjoyed reading anything by Stephen King and a good movie. Ronda really loved Sci-Fi,especially Star Trek, and a good horror film. Ronda was also known for baking a mean cake from scratch and making sure the kids always had their favorite meal on their birthdays. Ronda is preceded in death by her parents, Tex and Punkin.Ronda is survived by her husband of 40 years, Timothy Pierce of Keizer, OR. Daughters Elizabeth (Ethan) VanLeeuwen and Melissa Pierce of Salem, OR, Son Jacob Pierce of Salem, Grandchildren Otto (Vileka) VanLeeuwen, Vincent and Rachel Humphrey and Andrew andOlivia Pierce. Brother, Bobby Emmerson of Keizer, OR. She is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Friends. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, February 22nd, from 3:30 pm-6:30 pm, at Stayton Community Center, 400 W. Virginia St, Stayton, OR. This will be a potluck celebration. Please bring a favorite dish to share. Mom was always one for comfort, so please dress comfortable for her celebration of life. Preferably dressed in tie dye, blue jeans and bright colors.
