Ruth Louise Wilkes- Mulkey Shaw

Ruth Louise Wilkes- Mulkey was born on March 6, 1945 in Pendleton, Oregon. She was raised by her mother Carol and father Merl. The mostly lived in Eastern Oregon and in the 1950’s Ruth moved to the western part of the state and settled in Keizer in 1961. She worked outside the home as a CNA in various retirement communities. She enjoyed working with residents, caring for others and overall helping people. In 2007 she retired from CNA work and was able to devote more time to reading her bible. She was one of the original families that started with People’s Church and the last 5 years upon moving to Stayton, joined Stayton Christian Church. Ruth enjoyed participating in Bible study groups, family time, playing pinnacle and of course Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays. She passed away on July 2, 2018 at age 73 in Salem, Oregon. She is survived by her children Kevan, David and Diane; grandchildren, Andrew, Brandon, Luis, Ricky in addition to many other family members and friends. A service will be held at 11am on July 21st 2018 at Stayton Christian Church located at 189 E. Washington Street Stayton, Oregon 97383. A reception will follow the Celebration of Life at the church.
