In 1962 they relocated to Los Angeles, California where Elmer managed several theatres including the world famous Grauman’s Chinese theatre. After retirement, Elmer and Shirley moved to Stayton, Oregon to be closer to family. Together they enjoyed golf, traveling and spending time with their granddaughter Hilary. After Elmer passed in 2004, Shirley moved to the Marion Estates, Sloper residence where she met many new friends. In January 2011, she relocated to Lakeside Assisted Living where she resided until her passing. Shirley was very active in D.A.R., Friends of the Library and loved to watch movies and play cards.
