Sigrun Elizabeth Grimstad

June 1, 1916 – March 27, 2012 Sigrun was born in North Bend, Oregon to Edvard and Hansine Grimstad.  She attended Normal School at Western Oregon State where she received her teaching certificate.  She later obtained a Bachelors Degree.  She taught school in Mill City for over 40 years.  She was a member of the Garden Club and Canyon Baptist Church, teaching Sunday school for many years.  She also loved to travel visiting Europe and Asia.  She was preceded in death by brothers; Edwin and Harold Grimstad.  She is survived by brother; Rev. Arthur Grimstad of Fargo, N. D., sister; Helen M. Bortvedt of Squim, WA , sisters in law; Betty Grimstad, of Mill City, OR Nancy Grimstad of Stanford, CT.  Memorial Service will be April 14, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. Canyon Baptist Church in Lyons.   Contributions: To the Church, or Young Life, Odyssey Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services Stayton, OR.
