Scott Michael Leonard was born on November 3, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ferris and Beatrice (Hoffman) Leonard. Scott grew up in Kearns, Utah with his siblings, Vince, Foster, Steve, Sandra and Kathy. After high school, at the age of 17, Scott would join the United States Marine Corps. He would go on to serve until being honorably discharged in 1974 with the rank of Lance Corporal. Eventually he moved to Oregon, and would later reside in Lebanon with his Daughter and Son-in-law where he remained for over almost 7 years, until the time of his passing. Throughout his life, Scott had many hobbies. He loved music and taught himself how to play the guitar. Scott… loved going to the Oregon coast to gamble and eat seafood. He loved fishing, and watching football. He was a die hard Washington Redskins fan, win or lose. Scott was a faithful Catholic and attended St. Mary’s in Albany and St. Edwards in Lebanon. He could be described as kind, generous and would give his last dime to someone in need. He would regularly donate money to St. Jude’s Children Hospital and donated much of his time to Meals on Wheels. Not only was Scott kind and generous but he had a great sense of humor which he will be most remembered for. He knew how to make people laugh and was a joy to be around. After Scott had fallen ill, he was cared for at home, by his children Amanda and Michael. After a very long and hard battle with cancer, Scott passed away on October 17, 2019 in Lebanon, Oregon, surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his children Amanda (Christopher) Tuke, Michael Leonard; ex-wife and longtime friend, Georgia Leonard; siblings, Vince (Patrice) Leonard, Foster Leonard, Steve Leonard, Sandra Packwood and Kathy Leonard. The family would like to give a special thank you to Kathy, Sandra and Vince for their love and support during Scott’s final days here on earth. As Grandma would say, "Ti amo per tutta la mia vita". (I love for all of my life) Services will be held on Thursday, November 21st, 2019 at 11:00am at St. Edwards Catholic Church 100 S Main St. Lebanon OR 97355. Following the Funeral Mass, a luncheon will be served.
