A Celebration of Life is scheduled to take place on Sheila's next birthday, Thursday, March 17, 2022, at 3:30 pm at Weddle Funeral Service in the Chapel. Sheila Kay Chloupek was born March 17, 1974, in California. When she was two years old, her mom Sharon moved back to Salem, Oregon, to live with her family. Sharon married Thomas Chloupek and he adopted Sheila when she was about six years old. The family relocated to Scio when Sheila was in middle school, and she graduated from Scio High School in 1992. After high school, Sheila worked in fast food for a few years before taking a job at Stayton Bimart where she worked for the next 17 years, becoming a fixture in the community. Sheila got to know many of her regular customers and always kept a pulse on what was going on in the community and in the lives of those around her. You could always count on a smile and chat from her when you stopped in at the store, and you could tell she loved her job by her constant upbeat demeanor. When Sheila was not working, she spent just about all her time with her kids at home watching movies or just hanging out. She was a very loving, supportive, and caring mother and was so proud to have become a grandmother in the last couple of years. Sheila loved all genres of music and was a huge Grey’s Anatomy fan. Over the last few years, Sheila had some health issues, and on the evening of November 11, 2021, she suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. Sheila was preceded in death by her dad Thomas and a grandson. She is survived by her children Brittany and Tyson; grandsons Kayden and Ryker; sisters Crystal (Ryan) Read and Rachel Chloupek; niece Kaylee Read; and her mother Sharon.
