Ann Louise Peters, a longtime resident of the Union Hill community, passed away on August 17, 2026. She was born February 5, 1931, in Stayton to Sheila and Dolph Heater.

Ann Louise graduated from Silverton High School. On June 8, 1949, she married Donald “Don” Peters at the Heater family home near Sublimity. Together they built a life centered around family, faith, and the farm.

Ann Louise was a devoted homemaker and a loving wife and mother. She also co-owned About Face in Stayton with Dee Scott. Following Don’s airplane accident, Ann Louise devoted more than 30 years to caring for her husband, demonstrating the extraordinary love, strength, and commitment that defined so much of her life.

Ann Louise was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Aumsville. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and, in her later years, especially enjoyed traveling and making memories with those she loved.

Ann Louise is survived by her children, Marshall Peters, Debbie Renggli, Michele Peters-Carr; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Peters, and her daughter, Tamara Peters.

Her family is grateful to the staff at Keizer Ridge Memory Care and Brighton Hospice for the excellent and compassionate care they provided to Mom.

A graveside service will be held at Union Hill Cemetery on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11 a.m.

Ann Louise will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to her family, her caring spirit, her strength, and the many years of love and memories she gave to those around her. Her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
