April Letitia Hernandez was born on February 1, 1985 in Portland, Oregon to Letitia (Wolfe) Camin. April grew up in Salem, Oregon and graduated from North Salem High School in 2002. She graduated from North Salem High School in 2002. She lived most of her life in Salem, Oregon until 2013 when she moved to Detroit, Oregon. From a very young age April showed her artistic abilities. She could create many items and was incredibly creative. She also was excellent at repairing things and worked as a handy man, store clerk and all-around help where needed. April had a huge passion for swimming and she worked as a Life Guard and Swim instructor. This was something that she loved to do and in 2002 she was recognized in a front page write up in the Statesman Journal about the work she did helping children learn to swim. Besides swimming and art, she also enjoyed the outdoors, April’s best days were always spent in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Living in Detroit she was able to enjoy the mountains and water which she loved very much. April passed away suddenly on May 23, 2018 at age 33 in Detroit, Oregon. She leaves behind her mother, Letitia Camin; children, Julian Perezrenteria and Carina Selvedge; siblings, Amy Nicole Welch, Sergio William Renteria and Raymona Michelle Renteria in addition to many other extended family members and friends.
