Bennie

Dorothy “Bennie” Nimmo was born to Benjamin and Nina Haddock on 9/17/1926 and was one of 8 siblings. Bennie grew up in the Los Angeles area. She moved to Bakersfield, CA where she met and married Scotty in 1954. After moving to Lompoc, CA and then to Sedro-Woolley, WA they moved to the Stayton area in 1989. Bennie worked for St. Mary Elementary School for many years as a Librarian and Instructional assistant. She was a member of Stayton Church of Nazarene and loved the Lord. She had the gift of hospitality and was known for being generous to a fault and the kindest person you could ever meet. Bennie passed away peacefully on January 6, 2022, at home with her daughter Lori, Son-in-law, Mark and grandson Scott by her side. Bennie is survived by her 3 children Lori, Ray, and Rick, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Scotty, 5 siblings, parents, and 3 grandchildren.
