Bonnie Lou Hust, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on August 14, 2024. Born on October 15, 1948, in Dallas, Oregon, to Florence Reimer and Clarence Bowman, Bonnie lived a life full of love, dedication, and creativity.


Bonnie graduated from Dallas High School in 1966 and went on to complete her education at Modern Beauty College in 1969. She was a licensed beautician and worked in a salon in Keizer, Oregon. In 1970 she married LeRoy Hust. In 1976 Lee & Bonnie adopted 2 little girls, Brenda & Debra. They built a home in Shaw, Oregon where they live until 1980. They moved to Jamestown, North Dakota in 1980 to be closer to Lee’s family and Bonnie & Lee divorced in 1982. In Jamestown she worked at Kmart for 13 years before returning to Salem, where she continued her career at Dick's Appliance until her well-deserved retirement in 2016.


Bonnie was an active member of Turning Point Community Church in Turner, Oregon, where she found a community that shared her faith and values. She loved her family deeply and spent countless hours with her photos, making cards, and engaging in various crafts. Her creativity and love for her family were evident in everything she did.


Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Hust) Roemmich and her husband Jerald, and Debra (Hust) Schauer and her husband Jeff. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Blaine Hust and his wife Miranda and their children Jack and George; Thomas Roemmich and his girlfriend Shauna McMillian and their children Kabrie, Kalise, and Kaila; Tyler Roemmich and his wife Lauren and their children Carson and Colton; Erin Schauer; Sarah Schauer and her brother Roy Bowman. Bonnie was also a loving aunt to 10 nieces and nephews and a great-aunt to 16 great-nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Clarence Bowman, her sister Connie Bowman, and her niece Sarah Beth Bowman.


Bonnie's legacy of love, creativity, and dedication will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
