Boyd E. Jones

Boyd was born on July 24, 1939, in Erwin, Tennessee. He grew up working on the family farm in Andersonville, Virginia. As a teenager, he was introduced to flying. He became a pilot and flying became a lifelong passion that he shared with his family and friends over the years. He also flew commercially for private groups. As a young man, Boyd moved to Southern Oregon where he fell in love, got married, and started a family. Eventually he moved to Oakland, California, and ran his own painting and decorating business, creating a name for himself as a quality painter with a strong work ethic. He recently moved back to Oregon to be closer to his family. On May 14, 2020, at the age of 80, Boyd went home to his heavenly Father. He was preceded in death by Valeria, his wife of 38 years, and his precious cat, Fuzzy Buns. Boyd’s final resting place is Bethany Cemetery in Silverton, Oregon.
