Carol Jane Wallace Shores, 71, passed away on October 12, 2026, in Salem, Oregon.

Carol was born on January 20, 1955, in Stayton, Oregon, to Lloyd Wilbur Wallace and Rita Theresa (Etzel) Wallace. She grew up on the family farm on Porter Road in Aumsville, Oregon, where she made many cherished childhood memories. Although life took her to many different places over the years, Carol eventually found her way back to Aumsville, returning to the community where her roots ran deep.

Carol attended Regis High School and Cascade High School. Throughout her working years, she built a career as a loan processor.

Above all, Carol treasured time spent with her family and friends. She had a creative spirit and a special love for crafting. She especially enjoyed making beautiful quilts and handmade greeting cards, each created with care and a personal touch. Her creativity was one of the many ways she shared her love with those around her.

Carol is lovingly remembered by her three sisters, Linda Wallace Perry of Salem, Oregon; Sharon Wallace Denton of Stayton, Oregon; and Judy Wallace Cameron of Yuma, Arizona; her daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Shores Hargens; and her son, Steven Shores. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Dustyn Shores, Alex Shores, Maysen, Jayden, Jaxon, Huddson, Kennedy, and Alauna.

Carol's memory will live on through the family and friends who loved her, the memories they shared, and the beautiful handmade treasures she leaves behind. Her life was woven together with family, friendship, creativity, and the familiar comforts of home.

Carol will be laid to rest with the placement of her ashes at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Stayton, Oregon.
