Dale Eugene Brown was born on October 9th, 1952 to Almon Edward & Doris Louise(Ward) Brown in Grass Valley, California. He grew up with siblings Mike, Vicki, Bill, & Christine. His Dad worked in Construction and the family moved from Grass Valley, California to Citrus Heights, California, then to Sweet Home, Oregon, then to Lebanon, Oregon, then to Raleigh, North Carolina, before settling in Albany, Oregon.

He grew up Camping, Hunting & Fishing, Gold Panning. Having many adventures of hills, mountains, lakes, rivers, Streams, & the Pacific Ocean. Catching all sorts of fish, even catching Salmon bare handed, He LOVED the LONG fight of catching Sturgeon, had many late night ventures of catching Catfish. He loved trekking the woods for Deer & Elk, and Sage Rat hunting in Eastern Oregon.

Things about his childhood: He ALWAYS hated onions(“yunons”) , loved Frank-O (Frankenstein) American Spaghetti, and at Thanksgiving dinners at Great Grandma Skillens he would put Big Black Olives on all his fingers and eat them off. His family was going to move to Jamaica for his father’s work, but he got ill and had surgery that kept his family in the states.

He joined the ARMY in 1970, Trained as Helicopter M-16 Marksman, and briefly served, was released for medical reasons, with an Honorable Discharge.

He married Rose Lee Peterson in 1971 in Seattle, Washington, They lived in Albany, Oregon and had three children together, Dale, Angela & Richard. They divorced in 1982. But remained Friends.

He started dating Belinda Marie (Sneed) Sloan in 1983 and claimed her two sons Mark & Eddy as his own. Together they had one son Jeremy in 1986, They married in 1996, and divorced in 2001. But remained friends.

He married Shanen Lea Dahlenburg in 2009, and claimed her daughter Shasta as his own, stating Shasta was the only thing worth keeping out of his 3rd marriage.They divorced in 2012.

He dated Deborah Johnson from 2013 until 2024 and they had a dog “Little Man” (Lil’ Man), who was his “baby”.

He was diagnosed with stage 3 Adenocarcinoma of the colon in 2023, underwent surgery and Chemotherapy and was technically “cancer free” in February 2025, and it came back rampantly in Sept 2025.

He was Mr Fix-it, a Jack-of-all-trades. He worked in Home & Road Construction, Automotive repair, Lumberjack, also as a Business Delivery Driver & in Medical transport.

He was a big CB’er in the 70’s & 80’s his cb handle MR FIX IT. He spent his life being an outdoor enthusiast fishing & hunting and was looking forward to his next hunting trip. Spent many days on Foster Lake & Green Peter Lake riding jet skis with the kids & grandkids. Until we meet again Fish on!He was a big CB’er in the 70’s & 80’s his cb handle MR FIX IT. He was a Father, Grandfather aka “Grumpy” & “Papa” & Great Grandfather aka “The Great Grump Grump” , Brother, & Uncle.

His grandchildren: Eddie, David, Nick, Darrin, Dylan, Zac, Jayden, Rozylyn, Kamron, Riley, Anthony, Brooklyn, Elijah, Aryanna, Ava & Zara. 

His great-grandchildren: Markus, William, & Alexander. His siblings: Mike (Kathy) Brown of Raleigh. NC; Vicki (Mike) Berry of Creswell, OR; William (Shelley) Brown of Albany, OR; Christine (Wes) Mullins of Sweet Home, OR.

 His numerous Nephews & Nieces & Great Nephews & Nieces. 

Preceded in death by his Parents, and his ex-wife Belinda Brown. Also his dog “fur-baby” Lil’ Man crossed the rainbow bridge on the same day as him.
