Darell Vance Roberts

Darell Vance Roberts, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, returned to his Heavenly Father on December 7, 2025. He was born on August 22, 1943, in Milford, Utah, to Vance Lester and Athene Stewart Roberts.

Darell grew up in Milford and graduated with the Milford High School Class of 1961. He later attended Electronic School in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he developed skills that supported a lifetime of hard work and dedication to his family and community.

On February 21, 1963, Darell married the love of his life, Joyce, in Malad, Idaho. Together they built a beautiful life filled with devotion, partnership, and unwavering commitment.

Throughout his life, Darell worked in many roles, each marked by strong work ethic and integrity. He was a bullganger at Kennecott, the owner of Roberts Fence Company, a dairy farmer at Lazzydranch, and later a supervisor at Microflect. He took pride in providing for his family and contributing meaningfully to his community.

A dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Darell served faithfully and humbly. He enjoyed farming, hunting, horseback riding, coaching little league baseball, community service, scouting, and watching bull riding. Above all, he cherished time spent with family. His steady presence and loving example will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Darell is preceded in death by his parents, Vance and Athene Roberts; his son, Darell Wayne Roberts; and his grandson, Larry Roberts.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; his children: David Vance (Cherielyn) Roberts, Raymond Neil (Lynette) Roberts, Steven Carlyle (Laura) Roberts, Jonathan Lee (Manuel) Rivera, and Karyn Roberts; his sisters Linda (Bill) Jones and Carol (Wayne) Wiseman; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Grandchildren and great-grandchildren include: Sara (Spencer) Hirschi, Stewart (Keirsten) Roberts, Stacy (Camron) Skaar, Brent (Hannah) Roberts, Courtney (Parker) McKee, Chantz (Makalah) Roberts, Brooke (Eric) Taylor, Dylan (Shamra) Roberts, Trevor (Abby) Roberts, Jerry (Paola) Rivera, Leilani (Justin) Rivera, Cruz Rivera, Natalya Roberts, Weston Shewell, Kanyon Hirschi, Ashlyn Hirschi, Brielle Hirschi, Landon Roberts, Eliza Roberts, Emmett Roberts, McKinley Roberts, Kalum Skaar, Kai Skaar, Ivy Skaar, Aria Roberts, Griffin Roberts, Nixon McKee, Jett McKee, Boston McKee, Piper Roberts, Oliver Taylor, Cal Roberts, Brady Roberts, and Amiri Boyce-Rivera.

Service Information A viewing for family and friends will be held on December 13, 2025, from 10:00–11:30 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1400 Western Avenue, Stayton, Oregon. Private grave dedication at Aumsville Cemetery.
