David Lee Ferris, beloved husband, father and papa passed away at the age of 69 on March 16, 2023 surrounded by his family.


David was born on November 17, 1953 to Orley and Evelyn Ferris in Fresno, California. He grew up in Woodside, California and graduated from Woodside High School in 1972 and attended Canada College. He married his wife, Ann in 1974.


For the majority of his career, David worked in the wood products industry. He started his career at Evans Products in Redwood City working in sales. He relocated to Albany, Oregon for a job with Willamette Industries in 1987. Following his time at Willamette Industries, he did business development for a local software company and relocated to Austin, Texas for a management position at Charles Schwab. He and Ann returned to Albany in 2005.


David and Ann raised two children, Kelly (Ferris) Ten Pas and Jeremy Ferris. They are blessed with three grandchildren.


David loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed working in the yard, home improvement projects, watching sports, listening to live music, road trips and being with his grandchildren.


David is survived by his wife Ann, daughter Kelly Ten Pas, son Jeremy Ferris, son-in-law, Kane Ten Pas, grandsons Lawson Ten Pas, Jones Ten Pas and Evan Ten Pas, brother Gordon (Lisa) Ferris, brother Greg (Kara) Ferris and sister-in-law Lynn (Steve) Dellinges.


David was proceeded in death by his parents, Orley and Evelyn Ferris and sister, Orlene Ferrando.


A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
