A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, November 17th for Virginia Ann DeCicco-Shinall who passed away on October 26, 2018 at age 73. Ginger was born on April 24, 1945 in Portland, Oregon and lived in the area her entire life. As a young girl she attended St. Mary Catholic School and in her junior year of high school transferred to Clackamas High School, graduating in 1963. She married Robert Herschel Shinall on April 18, 1972 in Vancouver, Washington. “Cadillac Bob” was the love of her life. Together, they had a daughter, BG Kathryn. Ginger was very devoted to her daughter and spent countless hours making sure she received the best education and cheering for her on the sidelines at swim meets. She was always proud to say that Bob was the “B” and she was the “G” in BG. Her daughter was her entire world and later, her grandchildren also became the center of her life. Affectionately called “Grandma Ging” or “Ging D”, she spoiled them rotten and took them to play bingo, shopping and also to serve food to those in need. In addition to her family, Ginger loved to dance, spend time with her beloved dogs and close longtime friends. Ginger will always be remembered for the love she gave her family, friends and those closest to her. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert in 2000 and son, Scott in 2002. She is survived by her daughter, BG (Carlos) Aguirre, grandchildren, Isabella, Carlos and Francisco Aguirre in addition to Shane Stermon; sister, Lindi Stevenson; and many friends.
