Ingrid Karen Swanson, 75, of Sweet Home, Oregon, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and a compassionate care team.

Ingrid was born on March 8, 1950, in Schweinfurt, Germany, to Ilse Vileisis and George Botte. Her parents made a home in Delaware where she grew up until she moved to the West Coast as a young adult. She loved the beauty and serenity of the ocean and rural areas in Oregon and California.

Ingrid found happiness in creating a home, being in nature, making meals for friends and family, and spending time at the beach and in her garden. She also enjoyed spending time with her beloved animals, Jackson, Jackie, and Meow Meow.

Ingrid was widowed after the passing of her husband, Richard Steinmuller. She is survived by her children, Jena, Cliff, and Emma, and her grandchildren, Anthony, Tristan, and Bailee. She also leaves behind her sisters, Nina and Susan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ilse and George, and her husband, Richard.

Ingrid will be remembered for her independent spirit, fun-loving ways, beautiful gardens, and German chocolate birthday cakes.

A private family service will be held.
