Jack was born in Topeka, Kansas to Earl and Jennie Johnson. The family moved to Stayton in the early 1940s and Jack graduated from Stayton Union High School in 1951. Jack spent his career as a finance manager, but was best known in Stayton for JAC Auto Company. He was a former president of Salem Lenders Exchange, former member of Stayton Chamber of Commerce, Stayton Lions Club, Stayton Kiwanis, and Stayton Jaycees. Jack loved hunting, fishing, painting, dancing, pool, cars, and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Norma Rosa. Jack is survived by his children Terri Cooper, Eric Johnson, and Steven Johnson; sister Alice Miotke; and grandchildren Dustin Johnson, Benjamin Johnson, and Alec Johnson.
