Janet Marie Raska

Janet was born on May 2, 1941 to Barbara & Harry Bowers in Turtle Lake, Wi. She was the 3rd of 12 children. She spent her younger years in the Amery and Turtle Lake area. Janet married her husband Frank Raska on July 5, 1961. Together they raised 4 children. They moved to Salem, OR in 1974 where Janet drove school buses and the city bus until her retirement. On Sept. 24, 2019 Janet passed away in Jefferson, OR. Janet is preceded in death by her husband Frank, both parents and 3 brothers Jim, Joe and John Bowers. She is survived by her children Tammy (Salem), Mindy & John Freer (Salem), Michelle & Tony Barros (Redmond) and Todd & Leah Raska (Salem). Janet had 5 grandchildren Leaha, Lacey, Tony, Alex, Nick and 2 great grandchildren Jayden & Jayla. Also 4 sisters Joanne (Jerry) Hemauer, Judy Hoisington, Linda (Wayne) Englund and Mary (Tom) Haffer and 4 brothers Jerry (Pam), Fred (Nora), Jeff (Joan) and Mike (Saundra). Janet is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Janet was a special person to so many. She loved spending time with family and friends, visiting and playing games. Her caring nature and beautiful smile will truly be missed. A celebration of life will take place at the Oregon Gardens on Oct 20 at 11 AM.
