Jeannette Kim Bennett was born on November 20, 1959 in Hermiston, Oregon to John and Betty (Bayliss) Bennett. She grew up in southeast Portland in the Woodstock/Lentz area. Jeanette always loved the country and dreamed of one day being a country girl and having a small farm. As an adult Jeannette lived in Happy Valley, Scotts Mills and the last 5 years in Mill City. She loved Mill City and began to raise goats which were her pride and joy. She also would help at the Canyon Closet where she would help collect donations and disperse them. She went to school to be a dental assistant, and eventually would joke that she was a “tooth fairy” to seniors delivering them dentures. Jeannette loved to play puzzles and solitaire online, but also enjoyed watching ghost hunting shows with her son. Jeannette always had a good sense of humor and loved her family. She passed away suddenly on July 7, 2019 at age 59 in Salem Hospital. She is survived by her son, Joshua Bennett; siblings, Barbara Sanders, Phillip Bennett and Kenneth “Buff” McCray; niece and nephew, Michelle and Michael Sanders’ nieces, Sarah and Emily Bennett; great nieces Kiah, Ethan, Grecia, and Aysa. Jeannette was preceded in death by her sister, Geri. Online condolences can be left at weddle-funeral.com
