Jeffery Jay Yohe, born May 8, 1962, in Loma Linda, California, lived a life shaped by service, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He passed away on May 1st, 2026 in Idanha, Oregon. The son of Michael Yohe and Marylyn Boyer, Jeffery grew up in Loma Linda and graduated with the Loma Linda High School Class of 1979. Soon after, he answered the call to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Army taking on a life of service that instilled in him discipline, resilience, and pride. His marksmanship earned him a Sharpshooter Badge.
Following his military service, Jeffery entered the construction industry, where he built a long and steady career defined by hard work and skill. In 1995, he moved to Idanha, Oregon, a place whose forests, rivers, and rugged beauty felt like home from the moment he arrived. He remained in Idanha for the rest of his life, enjoying the simplicity and quiet.
On April 25, 2012, Jeffery married Joanne (Apperson) in Las Vegas, Nevada, beginning a chapter filled with companionship, laughter, and shared adventures. Together they built a life grounded in love, partnership, and the simple joys that mattered most.
Jeffery was happiest outdoors or with a guitar in his hands. He loved fishing, hiking, camping, shooting guns, and exploring the natural world around him. Music was another one of his passions. He enjoyed playing the guitar and took great pride in teaching others to play, sharing not just technique but the joy of creating something meaningful.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife, Joanne, and his brother, Michael Yohe.
Jeffery will be remembered for his steady presence, his generous spirit, and the way he embraced both the quiet and adventurous moments of life.
