Jerry Lee Molan, 77, passed away peacefully at home on October 7, 2024 with his family by his side. He was born on July 23, 1947 in McMinnville, Oregon to Gerald and Jeanne Molan. Jerry was the oldest of 3 boys and is survived by his brothers Craig and Keith Molan and their favorite uncle, Rick Jackson.

In 1970 Jerry met the love of his life, Berdean Blatchley and they married 30 days later in Reno, Nevada.Within 2 weeks of meeting they both knew they had met their match! They celebrated their 54th anniversary this last May.

In 1975 at Lebanon First Assembly of God Church, Jerry committed his life to Christ which changed the course of his young family’s life. They moved to North Dakota where he obtained his seminary degree from Trinity Bible College and was ordained as an Assembly of God minister. Jerry loved people and he lived a life of service to others. He pastored in Lisbon, ND, Bandon, and North Howell, OR where he also ministered to the Hispanic Community. Jerry managed the Assemblies of God camps including Camp Davidson in Sisters, OR and Bethel Park in Brooks, OR. Jerry helped start Oregon’s first Teen Challenge, and served at the Union Gospel Mission. He served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Alongside his life of ministry, he provided for his family by working in the concrete industry. Jerry finished his working career driving for Schurter Trucking.

Next to being married to Berdean for 54 years, his four sons, Colby, Corey, Casey and Calvin and their families brought him the most pride and joy. Jerry had 9 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 3 great granddaughters and more on the way. Jerry loved sports. He loved watching his sons, and grandkids compete in athletics. Life lessons were often communicated through sports metaphors. And if you knew Jerry, you knew the latest success of his grandchildren both on and off the court. He was close to each of them and often spoke wisdom into their lives. He could always be counted on when challenges arose.

Jerry will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his family as an encouraging leader, prayer warrior and selfless provider.

A memorial service will be held October 19th at 10:00 am at Lebanon First Assembly of God Church.
