On the morning of December 27th, 2019 Julie May (Whittle) Sprague stubbornly took her last breath and passed away. Mom didn't want to die, and none of us wanted her to, but the Lord was calling her home and like most children she wanted to stay out and play a little longer. She was known for her quick wit, sassy opinions and moxie. She had a beautiful laugh, eyes that lit up when she made herself and others laugh (which was often), a love for Pepsi, the Oregon Lottery, reading, anything word related, writing and apparently stealing pens because she had a lot of them.  Julie was born in Sydney Australia on October 3rd,1945 to Albert and Florence Whittle. She started her journey to the States with our Nana, a WW2 bride, on the USNS David C.Shanks. It wasn’t until the mid 80s that our Mom discovered she wasn’t a citizen of the United States, because ya know life happens and we forget to do stuff. Julie formally became a citizen of this country August 2,1985. Julie was a single mom and truly did the best she could to handle a handful. We didn’t make her job easy, and I honor her with respect for all the sleepless nights and gray hairs we provided her over the years, and yet.. she still loved us. How awesome was that? She loved her children, and would be the first to tell you that she did. We all love her too, and will miss her greatly. She is survived by her six children, and while she literally named each of us, she often forgot our names when addressing us; especially when we got into trouble. We knew who she was addressing though, because we knew exactly what we did to get there. Her children are: Gary, (Lori), Andria (LeeAndria), Sonja, Liana (also LeeAndria), Trevor, and Trisha (who often was called by several names before Mom arrived at hers, because that’s what it means to be the baby of the family. Right, AndySonjLeeTrisha?).  Collectively her children had a gaggle of children so she is survived by tons of grandkids and great-grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by one of her children, a grandchild and her beloved faithful fur baby Puffy The Magic Lhasa Apso.  She was always reminding us “It’s see-ya later, never good-bye ..” and despised it when people said good-bye on their way out the door, and made sure to correct you if you didn’t get it right.  See-ya later, Mom Memorial to be held Saturday, January 4th, 2020 at Meadowlark Senior Living in Lebanon Oregon, starting at 10am.
