Kai Nicholas Cain was born November 5th, 2006, to Joseph Nicholas Sieg and Anna Harris of Salem, Oregon. Kai passed away unexpectedly on October 4th, 2025 in Aumsville, Oregon. He is survived by his fur children: Jack, Casper, and Tuna. He is also survived by his brothers Riley Harris and Bentley Lampson, his sisters Nova and Meisha, Grandmothers Kerry Harris and Shelli Kern, Great Grandfather David Cain (the only father he really knew), Along with a host of Aunts and Uncles, cousins, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Sieg.

Kai was a kind soul who loved animals and children. In fact, he was a child magnet. Kids loved him dearly. Any time he was around, children would lead him by the finger to show him things both this way, and that. He was universally loved by animals. Small and large, they gravitated to him.

Kai was an avid reader. He had a cherished, complete collection of Warrior Cat Books. Every published work of the series sat cleanly ordered. He loved to attend the new book releases at Barnes and Noble to connect with other local fans.

Kai was a writer with an avid creative spark in character creation…even dabbling with some of his own Cat Warrior fan fiction that was beautiful. His therapist was enthralled every time Kai brought a newly minted excerpt for her to read. He was an avid horror film enthusiast. He belonged to a large network of fans who would gather to discuss plot holes and theories, fan fiction, and the intricacies of how modern society, politics, and social norms were central to character development and their eventual demise.

Kai was a ferocious protector of the online experience for children in his forums and be adamant that all members and participants adhere to a strict code of conduct to avoid exposing children to content outside of acceptable parameters for their age.

He loved to go shopping, always on the hunt for the latest collectibles (especially the Littlest Pet Shop figurines). These experiences taught him some budgeting and impulse control skills….something he always struggled with….making this a huge accomplishment for him.

Kai’s kind loving soul will live on in everyone who cared about him. His final message would read as thus: “Reach out to those you love, show them you care. Listen to them. For now, I am off to be salted and burned….to keep an accord with the Winchesters”. We will miss you so much, Dudles. Rest…and forever remain 18.
