Scio-Kasandra “KC” Christine Davis-Miller, 22, passed away far too soon on March 16, 2026, in Scio, Oregon.
KC was born on May 20, 2003, in Corvallis, Oregon. She grew up in the Santiam Canyon and attended Santiam High School, where she was known for her strength and determination. During her freshman, sophomore, and junior years, she was a member of the wrestling team and loved the challenge it offered.
During her senior year, which took place during the COVID pandemic, KC chose to attend school in Utah, where she graduated. While there, she worked on a ranch and found great joy in caring for animals. She later returned to Oregon and most recently worked at Freres Lumber. She began by running machines and had recently passed her test to grade wood, an accomplishment that reflected her hardworking nature and pride in learning new skills.
KC loved concerts, music, and spending time in nature. She had a deep appreciation for tattoos and piercings and was especially talented and meticulous when it came to customizing her own. She was also an incredible artist. During a visit to an art shop in Bend, the staff took note of one of her drawings and asked if it could be featured in their shop, a testament to her natural talent and creative spirit.
KC also loved thrifting, always searching for unique items she could make her own. She had a tender heart for both people and animals. Since she was a little girl, she had a special place in her heart for the homeless community and would give every cent she had to help someone in need. She always wanted to do more for others.
KC was an old soul, someone with whom you could have the most meaningful conversations. She had a rare depth, a gentle compassion, and a way of making others feel seen and understood. She was deeply loved, and her passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew her.
KC is survived by her family: Jody Davis, David and CJ Walczak, Jozie Neal, Joey Walczak, and Claire Knight
Her memory will live on in the music she loved, the art she created, the kindness she showed, and the many lives she touched. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 2nd in Mill City, Oregon.
