Kerry A. Bowell

February 24, 1970 — April 22, 2025

With heavy hearts and deep love, we remember and honor the life of Kerry A. Bowell, who passed away on April 22, 2025, in Corvallis, Oregon, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 55 years old.

Kerry was born on February 24, 1970, in Seattle, Washington to Calvin and Mary (Halstead) Bowell. He grew up in Seattle, surrounded by the rhythms of the city—and often, the sound of his own drumming echoing from his home. Just around the corner lived a young girl named Patricia, who would one day become the love of his life. She fondly remembered walking past his house and hearing him play the drums, never knowing that destiny was quietly beating its own path for them.

Kerry attended Chief Sealth High School and later earned his GED at Angel Job Corps in Oregon. He lived in both Seattle and Newport, Washington, building a life rooted in hard work and quiet strength. Life took him on many roads, but fate intervened through Facebook, reconnecting him with Patricia. What began as rekindled friendship blossomed into deep love, and on August 30, 2019, they were married in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they built a home and a life in Jefferson, Oregon.

Kerry spent his career as a dedicated long and short haul truck driver, most recently driving for System Transport and was contracted to Vitro Glass to do securement and short local deliveries. His commitment to his work and the people around him was unwavering until illness forced an early retirement.

Kerry had a passion for all things fast and fun—he loved trips to the Woodburn Drag Strip, building model cars and trains, collecting Hot Wheels, and playing Xbox. His childlike wonder and enthusiasm never faded. He carried his kindness everywhere he went, offering help without hesitation and love without condition. Many lovingly called him "Care Bear," a name that perfectly captured his warm, gentle spirit.

Kerry was more than a husband, son, father, and brother—he became an adopted dad and papa to Tony Meredith, his fiancée Holly, and their daughter, Kiara. His heart was always open, and his love made room for everyone.

Kerry was predeceased by his parents, Calvin and Mary. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Bowell; his children, Christopher Satterlee, Jake Satterlee, MaKayla Buhler, and Matthew Bowell; and his cherished stepdaughters, Autumn Nichols and Zoie Nichols. He also leaves behind his siblings, Raymond Boell, Keith Bowell, Teresa Stout, Ed Bowell, and Don Bowell; and his sisters-in-law, Rita Boell and Cassandra Bowell.
