Linda "Jane" Barker, born January 26, 1944, in Albany, California, to Lahoma and Arthur Orr, lived a life defined by service, devotion, and quiet strength. She spent her childhood in California before eventually making Oregon her home.

Jane held many roles throughout her life, each reflecting her generous spirit. She worked as a cook for the Mehama Grade School, later becoming the manager of the Stayton Bakery, where her warmth and work ethic were felt by coworkers and customers alike. She went on to serve as a CNA at Marion Estates, offering comfort and compassion to those in her care. Beyond her professional work, Jane opened her heart and home as a foster parent, a role she carried with deep commitment until her retirement.

Her personal joys were simple and rooted in connection. She loved gardening, fishing, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was happiest when surrounded by family. In her later years, Jane dedicated herself to caring for her grandson, Drew Lore, and her great-grandchild, Charli Lore. Her presence, guidance, and unwavering devotion will remain a lasting gift to them and to all who knew her.

Jane is survived by her children Ronda South, Denise Bishop, and Sheila Reid; her grandchildren Jeffrey South, Hannah Mohr, Britney Hardy, Justin Bishop, Megan Barton, Morgan Miki, Darbi Jackson, Stanley “Christopher” Harriman, Mackenzie Lore, Bailey Lore, and Drew Lore; and her great‑grandchildren Rylan Hardy, Cian Hardy, Jayden Lore, Charli Lore, and Jadah Lore. She will also be deeply missed by her siblings Arley Orr, Jesse Orr, Jerry Orr, Kenny Orr, and Teddy Orr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lahoma; her sister, Mary Mandell; her daughter, Traci Lore; and her grandson, Justin Bishop.

Jane’s life was one of generosity, resilience, and steadfast love. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and the many lives she touched. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
